well lots of stuff have been going on these last few days and I really don't know where to start. I'll start with Saturday.
Before we left we were given the names of a few missionaries here but out of the blue last week Carrol ran into Kelly a missionary from Russellville, Arkansas. So we got together saturday for lunch so that we could all meet. Then we were invited to go with them to a soccer game at the school that her kids have went to. I will say this has to have been the most moving day of the Lord for me. I would have to say that the one fear that I had that was holding me back was the fear of how it would effect my children if we were to ever persue the mission feild. well Saturday we got to experience Guatemala outside of adoption and tourism. we got to see a normal house that was beautiful, about the size of mine at home and half the price to live there and a school that is Christian and ENGLISH they teach bible and spanish and have a full range of sports and activities just like at home. and Josie loved the gym!. the school reminded me of my moms school, small were everyone knows each other. you can look up the school at www.christianacademyofguatemala.com.
then sunday we went to church and we heard one of the most amazing sermons that touched both mine and carrol's heart very much.
he was speaking about Abraham and how he was asked to sacrifice his son. he asked what is Your Issac that is holding you back from fullfilling the true will of the Lord. ??????? He reminded us What is your Issac, whatever it is that your holding on to, remember that the Lord is who gave that to you in the first place so doesn't he rightfully deserve it back if he wants it. Of course the Lord didn't actually make Abraham sacrifice Issac but do you think Abraham ever wished he wouldn't have ever been willing.
We sang about if we could just have one Glimpse of the Lord, Well we have received one glimpse here and we wouldn't trade it for the world and even thought this wasn't our plan we could have never imagine anything greater! So we just can't wait for more.
And about our adoption we are expecting to hopefully get final word tommorrow so remember us in your prayers and I will be feeling you in as soon as we get word!
