O.K. I was just bragging to Carrol yesterday how smoothe things were running for Pedro's adoption, thinking it has to be too good to be true then thinking to myself that was a insult to the Lord and having to ask for forgiveness because he controls the timing and he blesses us everyday so why wouldn't he be giving us his favor and allowing us to have one smoothe adoption process. Sooo we were planning to book our flights and now the Swine flu! I don't usually worry about things like this but I was planning on taking the whole family so we could all be together with Pedro and My family is freaking out about us going. So today and till whenever the Lord answers us we are going to have to be in prayer about this and if he gives us the go ahead ofcourse we need prayer of protection from this and for Pedro that ofcourse is there and I guess could be of risk already.
So anyway could you please pray for us and for Pedro!

A very exciting night!
This past Sunday night my family got the priviledge of volunteering at the Show Hope booth at the Steven Curtis Chapen and Micheal W. Smith concert. It was every bit of awesome we had expected it to be and mord. When got to share our adoption story and how Show Hope had make that a reality for us as well as spending some special time with Emily Chapmen. What a sweety! The thing I left that concert with the most is that we should always take our children's hopes, desires, and what they feel as God callings seriously because although Steven is the one out there sharing about the orphans the most it all started out of a small seed that a special 11 year old started. I am sure her parents would have never had invisioned how big this ministry would be for there family when Emily first shared her desire for her family to adopt!
We should never dismiss the small things. We don't have the whole picture, The Lord does!
And yes we met in person Geoff Moore and Steven Curtus Chapmen! It was a night we will never forget!

Big News!
Wow, I am really nervous now but Our home is now offically open for fostering! So O.k. the Lord knows what I can handle, right? ! yes he does and if he needs me I am here. I am just going to have to let go alittle and let him handle the details because there is alot of reasons we could say not right now! but I believe that if Jesus were here face to face asking me if I would take her of his little one I wouldn't worry about the reasons not to, just that he is asking me too, and that is how I feel, although it can only be short term. That is what he has asked of me now, so....here we go. Please remember our family during this time and expecially the poor little child that will be needing us and the Lord in a big way.

Happy Easter!
The best day of the year, the day of the most promise and hope. The day that we as Christians can rest knowing that we are going to have eternal life! The day that we can be reassured that we will meet our loved ones again! but a day that should remind us the most of how important it is to share the love of the Lord with our loved ones that we can rest knowing that they too will have eternal life.
Thank you Jesus for the Grace we will never deserve!

This summer Gladney is hosting a Bright Futures Camp . . . in China!
Bright Futures Camp - China
Rather than bringing children to the United States, adventurous prospective parents are invited to travel to China August 9 - August 16, 2009. What an exciting opportunity to brighten the life of a child living in an orphanage, and experience the culture first hand! By going to China, families can spend more time with their child before placement and have the opportunity to experience Chinese culture first hand.
Could You Be That Family?
Gladney is looking for families who are willing to open their hearts and homes to children from Chinese orphanages. For many of these children this once-in-a-lifetime experience could be their only opportunity to find a forever family.
Through each program, Gladney maintains its commitment to creating bright futures through adoption around the world. We understand how difficult it is to make a final selection regarding which agency or attorney to trust to guide you through the adoption process. For this reason, Gladney conducts workshops for prospective adoptive parents of older children that cover detailed and in-depth information on our overall philosophy and services, as well as our flexible adoption programs.

1 Year Anniversary
And One of her First "AT HOME!"
The First Time we met and our first family photo!
The beginning!
Today marks a very special day for us. One year ago we arrived on U.S. soil with our precious Josie Luz Elena. I cannot believe it has already been a year but it also makes me think of my dear friend Kathy whom we met during our time fostering Josie. She arrived there before we did and has just now came home. So we praise the Lord for his provision on us as a family as we served our time in Guatemala and most of all praise him that he always finishes what he starts and home April 3,2008 Josie joined our family here at home forever.
Today Carrol was asked if we really started our adoption thinking that Josie would have some severe disabilities and if it was true of what a healthy girl she is today. The answer is YES praise the Lord YES! Do I believe she never really had special needs NO! I know it was one of GOD'S miracles and will always know that in my heart to be true, but you see it wouldn't matter what her special needs are I would do anything in this world to take care of and protect that little girl! That is what we do for our kids, so if there is someone considering adopting a child of special needs let me tell you if it is a child the Lord has ordained to be part of your family you will be perfectly eqipped for that child and will do it what ever it takes with a grateful heart.
This last year has been one of the best years in my life! The best year in my relationship with the Lord, with my marriage, with having the priveldge for the first time to be a stay at home mom, and the best year for watching my children grow into such awesome little people that also love the Lord and their family.
God has truely rewarded us and for that we are so THankful!!!!!!!!!!!

God Callings
My sister-in-law sent this to me becuase in a crossroads in her life this spoke directly to her and I figured that it might say just what someone else needs to hear.I did!
"You must regard parenting as one of your most important tasks while you have children at home. This is your calling. You must raise your children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. You cannot do so without investing yourself in a life of sensitive communication in which you help them understand life and Gods world. There is nothing more important. You have a brief season of life to invest yourself in this task. You have only one opportunity to do it, you cannot go back and do it over.
You live in a culture in which there are opportunities for you to do things unheard of in history. You are presented daily with scores of opportunities. There is more that you could ever do, there for you must prioritize.
To do this job of parenting well, it must be your primary task. It is your primary calling.
Parenting will mean that you can't do all of the things you could otherwise do. It may mean that your home doesn't look like a picture from Better Homes and Gardens. It will influence your friendships and the amount of time you have for television, hobbies, or the amount of books you read. It will influence the kind of ministry you are able to pursue. It will mean that you can't develop every interest that comes along. The costs are high..
God calls you to invest yourself in this way with your children and you will see the benefits far exceed the cost."
