PRICELESS!!!
This blog is alittle of an interruption from Christmas, well sortof. Carrol and I were having the converstation about adoptions and why we pretty much all of us who have ever considered adopting stress over the money so much when in reality we would go and spend that money on a new car, new house, vacation,etc... when those things are only temporary, but the truth is they are things that are truely just less threatening, where adopting sounds like something great it is kindof like faith,we can't always know how it is going to turn out, is that child going to turn out just like we invision like that pretty red truck that we know we like. well the reason i am writing on this this morning is truthfully because the Lord woke me up with this this morning so I feel maybe there is someone who needs to hear this.
This is what the bible says and what the Lord spoke to me this morning:

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where theives do not break in and steal.
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

I have got some catching up to do!

I am not sure where even to start, lots of fun going on here getting ready for this Christmas season. We started our family Christmas at my dads house last Saturday. Josie got to open her very first Christmas picture there. These are little things but big too me,my husband says I am so dramatic but when you miss almost the first two years of your daughters life every first you can share with her is so awesome.

Bethleham revisited

We visited Bethleham.... An outdoor scene representing the journey up to the birth of Jesus. We went as a family together with Carla and Jody and their kiddos. To visit this. Another reminder of the real reason for the Season.

Alittle side note.. even back then at the birth of Jesus adoption was present that had to be pretty significant to what would be really close to Jesus heart!

Girls Weekend

Corie and I had our annual girls weekend with my aunt and my grandma this weekend. As usual we had a blast. This year I was realy looking forward to it to have some momma and Corie time. We had a great time and it was needed. I always want all my kids to feel they are always equally loved and for Corie I don't ever want her to feel that middle child symdrome. I love you baby girl.

James 1:5-6
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:8
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.

James 1:14-17
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has not deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good it it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

James 1:22
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves, Do what it says."

James 1:27
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Memories of our Thanksgiving week

We had a perfect Thanksgiving week this year and I say week becuase that is how it was we just partied all week! I am so ready to rest today. Anyway we started Monday by putting up our Christmas Tree, yes before Thanksgiving but what can we say we were in the mood. Next we had our family Christmas pictures made. They turned out great. Then we took Josie to see Santa. She did great, she wasn't scared she just loved his fuzzy suit. That was a great family day. Then on Thanksgiving day we shared that at my moms house. It was relaxing, too much eating, the kids rode 4-wheelers and just had a blast. Then on Friday I did Black Friday! It was fun too, my sister-in-law Carla and I did that craziness but it was worth it but I really wanted that Barbie Jeep at walmart but sadly we just didn't get up early enough and apparently it was on of the first things to go.
I had to come home and try to catch my breath then and headed on up to my dad's for family Thanksgiving again! It was great my brother and his family came down with the kiddo's, there twins were also here for their First Thanksgiving. so we enjoyed and celebrated 3 new family members this Thanksgiving. Definatly something to be thankful for.
the big boys of course all went hunting. No luck then Christian decided to stay the night with papaw one more night by hisself, I guess he thought the chances of getting his buck was bigger since it was just him and papaw and sure enough by 7:30 a.m. Christian shot a 7 point and got to share this memory with papaw. So as you can see it was the best.
We started out this thanksgiving with more than we could ever thank the Lord for then he blessed us with a perfect family holiday. It just goes on and on. So why wouldn't we want to serve the LOrd?????

can you believe though this big week and i took harldy no pictures, I guess we were just having too much fun.
