Josie's First Day of Preschool!

Makes me want to cry just looking at these! josie loves it though and I know it will be great for her, just all these steps that make time just fly by. Why, Why do they have to grow up? i did kind of feel good though after having a little me time this week.

Today was another awesome day. We did have to start the day with another paperchase but the ending has been awesome. Mommy got a 2 hour nap!!!!!!!! then we ate in the condo introducing Pedro to some american food, which he likes and just ending our day hanging out on the beach, feeling the breeze blow, listening to the waves, watching the kids play football. Sometimes Carrol and I struggle wondering just what the Lord is calling us todo, then we watch our kids, our bio and adopted, and we KNow! This is what he wants from us right now. I guess the struggle is that it just seems so easy. DUH what God is calling us to do should feel this right!
We are so blessed!

We celebrated Pedro's 13th Birthday together yesterday!

We are continuing to have a awesome time together as a family. We celebrated Pedro's 13th birthday together yesterday and I think he had a awesome day.It has been very comfortable and an easy adjustment being together. The kids all are having a great time. Pedro is a awesome boy with such a heart, a faithful heart that has humbled us many times since we have been hear. He is faithful in praying and talking with God every morning, before every meal, he reads his bible daily without being told! and this is not to brag but to remind us that sometimes we take things for granted and maybe don't teach our other children how to do that as much as we should..
we are going to have a pretty low key day today. just going to hang at the beach and try to remember that this is the Lords day while we are away.
I ofcourse left the house without my camera charger and I am sick about it so I am not sure if I will have anymore pictures to post but we are together and thats what is most important!

We are so excited to have gotten to spend your birthday with you. You are such a special gift. We just pray that we will teach you and love you in just the perfect way that God has planned. You are such a handsome young man with a life that nothing is impossible so dream big and follow God as I know you already are.

Our TIme with Pedro

We are having a wonderful visit as a family with Pedro. The kids were so excited to finally meet and have been having a awesome time together and just as Carrol and I felt the first time we met him, they feel he is a awesome fit for our family. We have been very busy since we have been here getting some adoption business accomplished but I believe we have made great process and hopefully it won't be long at all before he comes home for good.
Tommorrow Pedro will be celebrating his 13th birthday! God has such a since of humor giving me 3 teenagers back to back! So anyway tommorrow will be all about him so I am guessing we will be watching him and the kids play LOTS of soccer. which is his favorite thing in the world.
It still feels a little surreal but just a reminder that when you say Yes to God be prepared that what he might ask may not be what you would have planned.

Happy Birthday Corie!!

Today my sweet girl turns 12.... Time flies so stinkin fast. we have had so many 12 infact great years. Today for her birthday she gets to meet her brother Pedro for the first time so that should make a pretty memorable Birthday.

The Great weekend

Just a few more days baby!

This weekend has been a great one. I did have to let my sweet little baby J that we had loved on for a month go though and that is never easy. It definatly leaves a whole in my heart. we know though that the Lord has great plans for him and he is with a really special family that loves him so much.
This past Saturday was a special night. We participated in a fundraiser for our dear cousins to bring two special children home from ethiopia. It was great and the Lord showed up in a mighty way.
Sunday we celebrated Homecoming at our church and then the rest of the day was spent ALONE with my husband! It was awesome and refreshing a much needed break.
Today, I took Corie and some of her friends for a hangout day at the mall for Corie's birthday which she will be celebrating for many days. It seems we do that alot with my kids.
We will be heading out to spend some sweet time with our Pedro in just a couple days and we are PUMPED! the kids are all going to get to meet for the first time. It is going to be such a surprise for him, I can't wait.
