Summertime has just absolutely flown by. we have had a good one. We are really looking forward for the week to come though becuase we are all going to spend a week with Pedro!!!! the kids are so excited. So am I, I am also ready for a vacation. I need a week of rest on the beach with my family. Although fostering is so awesome and rewarding it is time now for a little slow down and a time of listening! I am really going to try to turn my focusing on not speaking but listening to God. I certainly want to remain in the center of his will and have so much going on right now I don't want to get caught up in the business of thinking I know where he wants me and what he wants me to be doing instead of being for certain. I cannot do it alone! i need him!
Also the mission bug is back so we are praying!

Yeah Happy Day!

We are so excited around here becuase today we were able to book our first family trip to meet Pedro. We are leaving in less than a month for one full week together. Not sure what that will bring but just so excited that to the kids Pedro will be there in person not just a picture. Seems like just yesterday we were just meeting our Josie girl for the first time. THe fact that he leaves near the beach and that we will get to kindof mix vacation with that as well don't hurt a thing either. One week of rest and relaxation on the beach with my whole family sounds like a dream right now.

Pedro

Carrol made his visit out to visit Pedro and attend his graduation. He got to spend Friday to Monday with him and truely experience alot of his Mexican culture. He also got to spend the weekend with no translater to he definatly got to put his spanish into practice and did pretty well. We also got our DIF approval while there, which is something like a social workers approval here. so now we are finishing our translations and waiting on a FM3 document and then we get to travel as a whole family to spend some bonding time together and we are so excited. Pedro is adjusting to the idea of having us as a family very well and we are so thankful for that.
Carrol also got to attend his first 3 hour Mexican church service with not one word of English. But on the great side of that he got to see where our son attended church, how he was being taught, and some more greater parts of his way of life as he knows it. We are so thankful the Lord put my husband on a job, that as first we thought was just a good job for extra money, but turned out he had greater plans, by giving him a job working with hispanics that only spoke spanish for the past 3 months. So again we are blown away by the many many small details the Lord has taken care of perfectly. WoW! He says he's gonna do that doesn't he, why do we seem to forget that on a daily basis. Anyway todays post was about Pedro I will catch up about Christians trip soon.

Wow, What a 2 weeks!

there has been so much going on lately I don't even know where to start.

I will start with Christian heading out for the Dominican republic. Everything has went so well he is absolutely loving it. I know that he is in his sweet spot the Lord has for him right now. i am actually feeling kindof wierd because first of all I didn't think I could handle my baby boy being gone for two weeks, But surprise I did, actually the Lord didn't let me be still long enough to get to worried, but now I am ready to see him but alittle sad because I know he is sad for it to come to a end. I just can't wait to have a real conversation with him and see the pictures and hear all the details.
And now to the 2 weeks Christian has been gone.... baby girl left, took Corie out for a girls night, DHS call desperate for placement, O.k.for 1 night, then was suppose to have a husband wife get-a-way while I only had 2 children at home, Well we did sneak 1 night but the rest of the time was spent camping with our girls, which was very nice. Came home DHS call... deserate for placement.. O.K. child number 3 in 3 months came. Awesome baby, so sad to see what children have to endure at no fault of there own.. sad though in a county full of CHRISTIANS there are no home for these children in this county!
So baby did have to leave tonight to go to yet another stranger becuase Carrol and I are both heading out of town this weekend. So please pray for this special little guy. He will be returning though when this momma gets home.
I will be heading out to go get Christian!!!!! and Carrol will be with my sweet boy Pedro tommorrow!
Also during this two week spand I have also managed to get my dossier complete so our adoption of Pedro Should be rockin and rollin real soon. hopefully Carrol will be able to get that ball a rolling this weekend.
Our Pedro is graduating from the 6th grade saturday.
Congrats Pedro!
