Spring Break

We have had a great spring break this year and as I am writing this I just thought I believe this is the first spring break that we have had that I didn't have to work. It was very action packed and today I have just felt completely zapped so we stayed home and just rested thank goodness.
Our big event for our spring break was going to Branson. It was time for a get-away and for as long as Josie has existed in our hearts I couldn't wait to take her to the Dixie Stampede there because it is our family favorite. And horses are her love so I knew she would love it. And Yes she did! She even got picked to go down and be part of the show and chase chickens. It was so fun and she did it and gave the crowd a big wave when she was done.
I am just so thankful for such special times we get to spend as a family.we are so blessed and I know i say it alot but I could never give the Lord enough thanks for the magnitude of blessings he has given our family.

Homestudy Complete!!

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Our Homestudy is complete and we are ready to move to the next step. It is awesome just to cross one more thing off. This next step of filing with immigration is looking to take a couple of months but after that I just have to have it translated, which I will do here in the states and they say that takes a week or two then the dossier is complete and our paperwork will head to Mexico. This starts off our spring break very well.

And on another note: we have a great big praise item and that is Kathy and Izzie are home after a year and two months of being in Guatemala. Another proof that the Lord will always fullfill his promises and his will!

I have been thinking of Pedro alot this week. The first reason is that I thought we should have our homestudy complete by now and in the process of our 1800-A by now, frustrated that it isn't done yet and frustrated that in a process that I know always goes like this I am already letting it bother me!
I am also thinking of him this week because I seen my very first school soccer game being played last night in our town. Yeah, we do have a school team now and soccer is his love and one of the things he is so excited about because although he loves it so much that is one of the things he misses out on there and will get to do here is play on a team!yeah!
Lastly I got word today that he is sick, only with a sore throat, but still I want that to be my job, to take care of him when he is sick.I am just so sorry that he has missed out on a momma's love most of his life. No more though because of God's wonderful intervention there will not be many more sicknesses that he won't have a momma to take care of him.

Josie's 3rd Birthday

Today is a very special day at our house. Our baby girl has turned 3! Why does time have to go by so fast. Josie is such a joy in our life. She is completely spoiled rotten and is all that to everyone of us. Yesterday Christian was talking about his mission trip and I was saying I didn't know how I was going to bear it him being gone that long from me and guess what he said, "I don't know how I am going to be away from my JoJo that long. So there you go! What in the world would our family have done without her.

To my Josie,
You are definatly God's special addition to our family and again we thank him that he knows the greater things in life he has for us. You are a perfect fit in our family, just as he designed. I love you more than words. I enjoy being home with you everyday, watching you grow, making memories, holding you way more than my back can stand. I love the way you have to have my face right in yours to fall asleep. I love the way you love us all back. You are such a blessing and I don't want to miss one minute of you.
Love,
Mom

I know this has left everyone wondering what in the world has happened and I can't discuss it here but all is well now.So for now we can Blog on!

Get the behind me Satan

Praise the Lord! All fear's relieved. All things secure. I just have to seek God's forgiveness for my fearful heart. As believers we are not to live in fear and I let the devil attack me but Praise the Lord he reigns!

So Long Satan!

Dear Lord I pray for your protection over my sweet Josie

There's Nothing too Hard for Him

Today's Scripture

"Is any thing too hard for the LORD?..." (Genesis 18:14, KJV).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

In Genesis, God promised Sarah that she was going to have a child. At first she didn’t believe it. She thought she was too old. She thought her time had passed. But do you know what God said to her? He simply asked, “Sarah, is there anything too hard for the Lord?” I believe God is saying the same thing to us today. “Is there anything too hard for Me?”

Do you think your dreams are too big for God to bring to pass? Do you think that a relationship is too far gone for God to restore it? Do you think you have to just live with sickness the rest of your life? Get a new vision today because there is nothing too hard for God! God is saying today, “I am all-powerful. I can turn any situation around.” It doesn’t matter what things look like in the natural, we serve a supernatural God. The Amplified version puts it this way, “Is there anything too wonderful for the Lord?” The next time you think, “That’s just too good to be true,” remember, God wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams. Take the limits off and dare to believe that He has wonderful things in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I choose to trust You with my whole heart. I know there is nothing too hard for You. Help me to stand strong in faith and keep me close to You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I am very sad to announce that for now I am going to have to make my blog private. For the privacy of my children and until Pedro is safe and sound with us I feel this is a decision we have to make. So if you would like to follow my blog you can send me a private e-mail and I will add you to it so you still follow along just for the time being I have to be able to monitor who is ready this.

Tristan and Josie

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.'

When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Concentrate on this sentence... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Great News!

Christian in his favorite place...Guatemala
This is where I believe to be where the Lord have him a glimpse of his will for him.

I have been dying to post this I just had to wait until Christian had time to post it himself. I am so proud to announce that yesterday Christian got his much anticipated phone call of acceptance to join YWAM on a mission trip for teens to Dominican Republic this summer. I am so proud of him, this was a decision he made on his own and I believe to be his first decision to follow the Lord's call and go on a mission trip. On his own I might add. And yes the thought of it can make me sick, he is a child that doesn't even go to friends houses to spend the night. But I know he belongs to the Lord first and honestly I have had alot of peace about it so therfore I know it is from the Lord because the mom in me alone couldn't let this happen. I am excited about this I just cannot wait to see what the Lord is got planned for him and what he is going to show him through this trip. I know that the Lord has been working on mine and Carrol's heart for years now to prepare us to let go and if you can't trust the Lord that already knows our days with our children than who could we trust.

Christian you are the most special blessing. You make your dad and I so proud everyday of your life. I enjoy watching you turning your relationship with the Lord your own and I totally admire your willingness to say yes. I know that you will be perfectly safe cause our God will be with you everyminute.I love you baby!!

PLease Pray for Guatemala

http://www.jcics.org/Guatemala.pdf

"As recently published by Nuestro Diario, a leading Guatemalan newspaper, children are being abandoned to the streets at an alarming rate. With few government institutions to provide care and the closure of many private institutions, some birthmothers are simply leaving their newly born children in trash dumps. Nuestro Diario reports that in Guatemala City alone, 91 children were found abandoned with 70 being new born infants. Twenty abandoned children in Guatemala City were found after they had already perished. What is being done to build a social service system which not only protects children from corruption but also from a tragic death?"

Pedro

I have tried not to put a timeline or to put too many expectations in this adoption since I about let the last one drive me completely crazy. Today though I got confirmation that everyone who should be is working on this case and finally I can just feel it rolling, so today I am alitte anxious and getting very excited. I know God's timing is perfect from experience but I know we are supposed to go to the Lord with our request, so today I asked that you would pray with me asking that this sweet child could be home very soon. We are praying for him to be home this summer in order to adjust somewhat before school starts. He is older and pretty much speaks all spanish. So we are praying for peace in his heart during this process and even though his life hasn't always been a great one it is all he knows. He has lots of people who do care for him there that we know he will miss them as well as they will miss him. He'll adjust to having a family of his own that loves him, one that is also used to there lives the way it is. Imagine going and having to stay in a place where you barely know the language. Where none of the food is what your used to.
We know though that the Lord is at work and he will work out all these issues. We are praying for Pedro today. And maybe just maybe Lord willing we will have maybe atleast one easy adoption.
