Guatemala Waiting parents

Isiah 1:23
Your rulers are rebels
And compassion of thieves;
Everyone loves a bribe
And chases after rewards:
They do not defend the orphan,
Nor does the widow's plea come
before them.

Psalm 10:17-18
O Lord you have heard the desire of the humble:
You will strengthen their heart,
You will incline your ear
to vindicate the orphan and the oppressed,
So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.

As long as we are on the earth there will always be evilness but We have a mighty GOD that is always bigger than the sin of the world and will always have his ears open to his children so today I pray for Guatemala. We know the Lord has a plan in all things but just sometimes has to use even corrupt people to fullfill His purpose. So our trust in in Him and him alone We know that his true love is for the orphan and the widows. I pray that these evil people causing the corruption in these adoptions will be used for his Glory! (That would sure tick them off, huh!)

Celebration of Samuel Jacob and Noah Joseph

Sunday, June 8 was a very special day for my brother and sister-in-law. It was a day that we celebrated the special gifts of these little boys into our family and the dedication of them to the Lord. It was a awesome day and what a blessing. We got to celebrate with them and being able to have Josie home with us. What a outpouring of God's Blessings.

Special prayer request

My special friends Kathy and Jaime are in desperate need of prayers lifted up in there behalf. Kathy and her daughter Izzy were our neighbors in Guatemala. I can't discuss much about their situation becuase they wish to keep things private for now until Izzy is safely and officially their daughter. this family has had thier share of grief in this lifetime and know one deserves to go through the pain they have experienced since being parents. my heart breaks for them. Kathy has had Izzy in her care since January and yesterday PGN took her. Again thats all I will say but at least you know the extreme of it. So if you would please pray a specific prayer for them today. i know that Kathy has to feel she is having to take more than she can stand and I know that her understanding of God's plan in this is not good. We know though that God knows the beginning and the end of this though and he knows how much they can stand. I know that is isn't what the Lord is doing to her but that he chose her becuase he knew she would be the best mommie in the world to fight for this baby girl. I would do anything to be there for her today so lets please join and pray that during this struggle Kathy and Jaime will feel the Lords big arms around them carring them when they don't have the strenth to do it alone.

DEAR LORD,
WE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE BLESSINGS THAT YOU GIVE US EVERDAY AND WE THANK YOU LORD THAT YOU PROTECTED US FROM THIS KIND OF EVILNESS WHILE WE WERE IN GUATEMALA.ALL THOUGH SOMETIMES WE FEEL THINGS AREN'T GOING GOOD AND THAT YOU AREN'T ANSWERING US, YOU ARE, YOU ALWAYS ARE. LORD, WE LIFT THIS FAMILY UP TO YOU AND WE PRAY THAT YOU WILL WATCH OVER AND KEEP SWEET IZZY, PROTECT HER AS WE KNOW THAT YOU WILL AFTER ALL SHE BELONGS TO YOU AS DO KATHY AND JAIME AND YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE THEM. i PRAY THEY FEEL A PEACE THAT PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING. LORD, WE KNOW YOUR PLANS ARE SO MUCH BIGGER THAN OURS AND YOU WILL ALWAYS FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED. LORD, WE KNOW YOU ASKED KATHY AND JAIME TO BE IZZY PARENTS AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THROUGH. WE JUST PRAY TODAY THAT YOU WILL SEND JUST THE RIGHT PERSON OR SHOW JUST THE THING THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN TO GET IZZY BACK HOME WITH KATHY.
AGAIN WE THANK YOU HUMBLY FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR US AND WILL DO. WE LOVE YOU.
IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

This is my desire to be a better servant

Josie's 1st swimming lessons

It's funny I have taken all 3 kids to swimming lessons but all 3 have just learned to swim right at home. Josie in her 2nd time in the pool at home believe it or not I am so excited to say swam alone (with floaties of course) Yesterday her second time in our pool! Wow, what a proud mommy I am! Here are a few pictures of her swimming lessons that we took at lessons which were fun, I mostly wanted her to go just for the outing of being around other kids and hopefully teach her a little something. and it did it taught her to keep her mouth closed and that's always a good thing.

I am so in love with you baby girl!

CT Scan results

I am so excited to announce what I did already know but I never expected it to feel so good but it is offical Josie is our miracle child and has a very normal ct scan!!!!
It is reminded me of the times when I knew God was calling us to adopt and and i just cried because Carrol wasn't so on board. Well I realized today that it wasn't Carrol it was God that was just waiting to put it on his heart until our Josie was available. If Carrol had said yes months ago i would have taken any little one that come my way. During this time the Lord also waivered 2 different families from adopting her and because she was special needs the finances was just what we could afford!!! So today I am just overwelmed at God's goodness and how amazing he is when is works out ALL the details!!!!!! Josie was ordained by God to be in our family. And today was just a reminder of how good God is.

Prayer request

Friday morning Josie will be going in to have a CT SCAN. we don't know exactly what this will entail for her we just know that she don't like doctors much since her experience with them has having blood drawn and shots... Anyway we pray that what we expect is right that she is a perfectly normal child. Josie had her first CT Scan around 5 months and at that time the doctor told us it looked very bad. So this is just a follow-up and again we are just praying it proves what we feel that she is our miracle baby the Lord just had to use of few things in order to lead her to us.

Happy Mother's Day

What a awesome day it has been. To spend this day with my 3 children all together at Our Home! To anyone that has ever considered adopting I just can't tell you how it feels when I look at my child that I could have missed out on. I did have to chose to take her, a child that wasn't born of my womb, I did have to trust God's leading to her but I will tell you one thought of not having her in my life here today will bring me to tears in less than a second. So I urge you when you watch shows or see it in books or hear about children that so desperately need homes. If you have even a glimpse of it in your heart I urge you to explore the idea. If you have love to give their are more children than we could ever imagine waiting that don't have no one, no one to call mom, no one hold them when thier scared, no one to kiss them goodnight, no one to make sure they have eaten, and guess what you will receive in return, I love that does not compare to anything in this world other than the love you have for your child.

I love you Josie.. You are my whole heart. I love you more than you will ever know, until of course you have your own children.

Christian, You are my man! You absolutely take my breath away. I can't imagine one minute of my life without you.

Corie, You are my princess! You are the daughter after my own heart I see myself in you so much and I just can't wait to see the life the Lord has in store for you.

To my children.... You are the biggest blessing the Lord could have ever given me. I love all 3 of you so much. Love, Mom

Submissive to the Lord's Timing

We mustn't attempt to rush God. To rush spoils the very reason God initially desired the event for us and cheats us of the joy that comes when we experience God's will. his plans are perfect without our input or interference.

How has God gotten glory from a painful season in your life?
The painful season came while waiting for Josie not understanding why God called us to bring her to our family and why it took almost 2 years to bring her home. Well God got the glory when he allowed us the icing on the cake by getting to take our whole family and experience her country and all of God's Goodness and grace firsthand and 10 weeks of uninterrupted time as a family, a whole complete family! So we know that God did have a special time planned for us all along and if we had gotten our way sooner we would have missed the Grand Finally! He was also with Josie protecting her and loving on her every minute by placing her in the care of another family that loved her dearly.

Salt & Pepper

That's our nicknames for my nephew and Josie. They are the same age and are so darn cute together. Tristan my nephew just happens to be very fair complected as you can see and then there's Josie our adorable brown baby. We love them so much. Tristan happened to be getting a aunt Mica haircut too. There's a big story behind my haircutting days that I really want to share sometime soon because it is a great testimony of God's great work so because its his story it will have to be shared in is time. I was a hairdresser with my own salon for 14 years though. So to give myself a little credit they are getting a little more that just a backporch haircut!
